I typically enjoy dining at Maplewood Diner, where the food is reliably good and usually served promptly. Unfortunately, my recent visit was quite disappointing. My wife and I, along with our hungry children, waited for an hour before the waitress informed us that there was only one chef on duty, and they were prioritizing DoorDash online orders. It's puzzling that they would prioritize these orders over customers who are physically present. The diner should consider notifying customers upon arrival if there is going to be an hour or longer wait for food. Regrettably, we decided to leave without eating, having wasted an hour of our time. I came here with my siblings for breakfast on mother's day. The food was OK. The utensils were dirty, we had to ask for new ones, and the service from the waitress was terrible, we literally had to wait for 30 mins everytime she reappeared from the back or flag down another waitress(mind you the place was empty, and now I know why). The only reason the waitress got a tip, is because of gratuity. Save yourself the trouble and go to another diner that has better food, better service, and clean utensils.
Tia was amazing! She was not only attentive to my family but also incredibly kind. My toddler son is usually shy, but Tia made sure he felt comfortable and special on his birthday. She even organized for her team to sing "Happy Birthday" to him, and she ensured that the food we chose was exceptional. Regardless of how the food turned out, Tia's service was outstanding! I highly recommend her to anyone who visits. Thank you, Tia, if you happen to see this!
The service was great. Tia was quite pleasant and a breath of fresh air. My turn-off was having silverware that appeared VERY USED/AGED. It's been a long g time since I've felt compelled to ask for hot water to sterilize. I did. Then the coffee cup had food remnants on it. ? (I suspect dishwasher stuff. My last visit was 4months ago, and the dish thing still is a turnoff for me. Other than the very used utensils it's a good food spot.

Ordered on doordash and my home fries (potatoes) were spoiled. You could literally smell it not sure why they would still serve rotten potatoes to someone. I also ordered corn beef hash and asked for it to be a little crispy and it seemed as though they barely cooked it. My 1st time trying to eat from here and it seemed like they just don't care. Probably won't give them another try.
This place is absolutely terrible I am being kind! The service stinks they take forever to make your food. Don’t waste your time ordering through Uber or Grubhub because they dont ever check the kiosk don’t start your order until the driver gets there. I am amazed that they are still in business, now I know why the place is always empty!
This has been my favorite diner since I was five years old! Even after more than 30 years, I still come back to visit, and the food is just as delicious as ever.
Waited 40 minutes for pancakes eggs and bagel with cream cheese. No cream cheese on bagel terrible service and smells like a sewer in there.
