What you will come across travelling through Spain, are lots of cafes and bistro like places. Restaurants tend to be hiding somewhere. Mar del Norte, is a restaurant in plain view in corners of 2 streets. Inside at first glance seems like another bistro bar, until we were taken to the back and into the restaurant. There tables were immaculately set, with bread and starters, amuse bouches, already on the table for hungry guests to tuck in. The place was busy, evident of it's popularity. The food ordered was superb and inviting to the taste buds. As a bonus, having ordered from the set menu, other titbits arrived in between, a very pleasant surprise, and at the end dessert came in as an assort...
We've been having two days with friends in January. good fish, well cooked and quality to be paid. correct service. from main dish a good wild bass and rap. of incoming a temperate salad of bogavante with figs that does not carry figs... good the chipirones. correct the desserts. and a suggestion, a menu restaurant and a high medium price, should consider bookings of groups that generate quite noise and boast in such a restaurant.
excellent food in general, although carabineros paella was salted and the rather bad bread, they should have been finished and they were frozen. high prices in restaurant, very different from home. service on terrace to eat disastrous, looking for us several times to the waitress. We had time for the paella and served it two hours later.
Excellent. Walked in couldn't speak a word in Spanish. Staff where more than helpful and able to understand our requests. Had a lovely steak and chips along with a few beer. Brilliant service well done 5 stars
