Now this is one really and truly excellent steakhouse! Located on the lovely historic, cobbled market square around the beautiful church, the Marco Polo is - contrary to what the name might imply - a steakhouse first and foremost. The menu is very extensive, and its two main specializes, each prepared on many varieties - are on the square prime US beef and Canadian buffalo. Steaks can be chosen in different sizes (in ounces). Visited the Marco Polo first with a large group of friends and then again with my family. Both times the staff was super friendly, the food delicious, the plates HUUUGE.I really like their concept of the salad bar where you can just help yourself to whatever salad you feel like for almost every single menu, instead of getting the standard mixed or green salad.Due to the dishes being so big, we ended up taking the leftovers home, and they were really forthcoming about this as well.The platters are bigger than what they sound like - the smallest platter for two can be dinner and lunch the following day for 2, easily.will definitely go again!

This restaurant is in a good location on the picturesque square. We received a warm welcome and found the service to be helpful and efficient. We ordered the mixed meat platter for two which was served with pan fried potatoes and lovely fresh, crunchy vegetables along with the help yourself salad selection. The food was really good, our only difficulty was that we couldn't manage to eat it all. The waiter offered to wrap it up for us to take away - a great idea.

We ordered their two best steaks. The steaks were ok in taste but over cooked instead of medium rare both the filet and rump were cooked through! The waiter apologised and that was it, the salad bar is nothing special. Sad to say that the prices are much to expensive for German standards and as most restaurants in Bad Saeckingen live off the Swiss. Réservez une table maintenant

If you after a big juicy steak this is The place to eat nice friendly staff And the owner personality to match After eating in Marco Polo it's safe To say you will walk out with smile on your face as far as pizza and pasta and Italian rustic menu then It's your restaurant schutzengarten But both as good on their own right

I have a love hat relationship with this place. While the food is decent, and especially the meat selection and quality is good, the service is quite bad given the prices, and you never really feel quite welcome there. Its certainly not the first place to go in Bad Säckingen.

We tried the meat, and it was excellent, and in one way too much even if we were recovering for a full day of biking. Wine also was very good. Price are averages for the food, and even low if you consider you're in the beautiful main square of the town.

Very nice service, but i wasnt impressed by the meat. Argentinien meat is supposed to be really good, as i tasted before, but their number one steak for me was a let down. They are very family friendly and the salad bar is nice! Réservez une table maintenant

The salad bar is very good, and the menu is very interesting if you looking for a good piece of met since Argentina to US. The attendance is good also. The price is a little bit heavy.
