He informed us about the red and green chili. The food came out quickly and was steaming hot. There are a lot of New Mexican places to eat in Santa Fe, and many of the hottest tourist spots will have hours long wait times, which is insane, and mediocre food. But Maria's has neither of those things. Every time I've been, from a weekday lunch, to a Saturday night dinner, I can get a table relatively quickly (this may be because their building is surprisingly massive). I've always had excellent service at each visit. And the food is really good too. I know sopapillas are not the sole reason to visit a restaurant, but these are probably my favorite in town. Came for a Sunday dinner at this neighborhood gem of a Mexican restaurant and absolutely loved our experience. Good food check. Friendly and attentive service check. Traditional menu items with a twist check. Beautiful, art gallery worthy artwork and paintings check. Oh, and 150+ varieties of hands poured margaritas. The green chile meatballs are a great appetizer. Grande Burrito Mexican flag style was my choice for dinner, and my wife had the Blue Corn Enchiladas. This place is a wonderful dining experience. Parking is free, but navigating the lot can be a bit tight. Very highly recommended!
If someone really wants to enjoy authentic New Mexican food, they should go to this place!! The place and the service? It's excellent! Ideal to go to eat with friends, family etc. The food is exquisite and everything is prepared at the moment. The moment you eat your first serving of food, you feel the authentic taste of New Mexico. Santa Fe has many restaurants, but not with the touch that the chefs give to each dish. The ingredients are fresh and I can say that when I ate my sopapilla I felt how crispy it was on the outside and soft on the inside. really amazing!

Maria's never disappoints. First, from the moment we stepped inside the hosts were friendly and gracious. They checked on us with a smile and were very accommodating. The staff was amazing. The food as usual top notch. Everything was delicious from the luchador margarita to the steak which was cooked perfectly to the dulce De leches cheesecake. If you are in Santa Fe this place is a must try. Green Chile meatballs and guacamole made fresh tableside. Highly recommend.
So, the drinks are damn good and powerful, but the food really isn’t that great. The fajitas were extremely bland. Same with the tacos. 0 and I mean 0 telaste on the tacos. Do you season your food. Some of the worst if had in a long time actually l. We also couldn’t justify the price for the food. There are Other restaurants very close by that had much better tasting food. We now know what restaurant to avoid when going to Santa Fe.
I am at an incredibly delicious Mexican restaurant in Santa Fe with my good friend, Father Vincent Alabi from Nigeria. The green chili stew is out of this world good. They also gave Father Vincent a red and green chili sampler. The service matches the quality of the meal. Michelle is one of those people who “make your day.” If you’re in Santa Fe don’t miss this. They also have a 4 page margarita and drink menu.
Beautiful restaurant with many dining spaces. Great service. But the food! The food was amazing. The red and green chile sauces were each flavorful and distinct in flavor. The rice and beans were both fantastic and delicious. But my tamale was by far the best tamale I've ever had. I chose veggie and it had roasted corn and pine nuts inside. Well charred and delightful. It was the best tamale I've ever eaten.

We were thoroughly disappointed by this place. Food had a freezer burn taste to it and had no seasoning! The service was not good. After paying almost $90 for the 4 of us with no alcoholic beverages, we left and grabbed fast food later on. PS…Portions were tiny as well.
Beautiful restaurant in Santa Fe. A must go for authentic New Mexican cuisine and large menu of amazing margaritas I had the blue corn enchiladas a fried egg on top is a must. And for desert Natillas so good!!!
