I've read some of the bad reviews and can only think you have to be a bit of knob to leave a bad review about Igeldo. It's got a prime spot on the harbour so should be a tourist trap and serve poor food, cos that is what always happens. Not true. Someone had pinched our table by pretending to be me (fair play) so we had to wait a bit. The staff, Enrique, Ricardo and Amaia dealt with it well, and gave us a free drink while we chilled out people watching and looking over the harbour. These folk are extremely friendly, speak amazing English and looked after us really well. They recommended the Monkfish for the two of us and a lovely bottle of wine (Godello Minius), didn't try to upsell anything...
the restaurant is in the heart of San Sebastián, without a doubt a very typical seaman league. The food is of great quality, it is filled with people so you have to queue for them to give you table but it is worth waiting. wide menu, all of sea products very fresh! I recommend it!
Not worth the cost. Staff were very unfriendly, were more interested in looking out to sea than talking to customers. Seafood was very nice but way overpriced. Prawns were not worth the price of 26euros!!
