As we were leaving, the server stood hovering over our table and questioned why we were leaving without tipping. I explained that the service and food had been great; I simply didn’t have Canadian cash on me at that moment. She interrupted me and claimed I hadn’t tipped the last time I was there, which was not true. I don’t even remember her serving me during that visit. I visited this restaurant today and ordered the tuna sashimi, specifically requesting it to be sliced thin. My dad ordered the same dish. Unfortunately, when my plate arrived, the slices weren't thin, but I didn’t think much of it at first. However, the taste was quite off; it didn't taste fresh at all—actually, it had a fishy flavor. I apologized to the waitress, letting her know I couldn't eat it, but instead of being understanding, she gave me attitude and our table was neglected afterward. We've been going here for a few years and the food has just kinda been less impressive over time. Today was really disappointing. We ordered the lobster roll and the lobster had been deep fried earlier in the day because it was cold and hard in our roll. Not what you expect for a 24 dollar roll. We also got the steamed shrimp dumplings. I think there may have been traces of shrimp in the batter but you'd need a microscope. All you could taste was onion. The seafood udon was ok. The only seafood was one mussel and some octopus. The other roll we had was just ok. The rice is mediocre. The restaurant interior is lovely and clean. Staff is nice, but the food needs to be brought back up to par.
The sushi here is extremely small. I ordered the special LAVA roll, the beef roll, a deep-fried California roll, and the unagi roll, and all of them were the same size. Even the specialty roll was tiny, resembling a regular maki roll. There's a lack of variety in the sushi; most of the options are just California rolls with different toppings, and many have cream cheese filling. Overall, the menu is quite dull. The taste is comparable to what you'd find at any other sushi restaurant. It's also very pricey and not worth the cost. I definitely won't be coming back! Réservez une table maintenant
Took my husband here for his birthday dinner last night.Firstly, the yam tempura was hard and crunchy which means it wasn’t fully cooked and was inedible.Secondly, and most importantly, the service was terrible. We had two servers who were both extremely rude. No eye contact, no politeness, no patience. One of the servers pulled the food out so impatiently and quickly from underneath me while I was still eating.The main meal was alright tasting, but due to the service and how completely rude the servers were, I would never ever go back here again.
I we recently had a nice meal at this lovely restaurant.. however we did notice something different . There is a bunch of debris and other misc junkie stuff showing up in front of the glass where you would stand to look at the food and watch the preparation of the sushi . Also piles of containers on the top . Left a feeling of fast food take out rather than fine dining which has been my experience in the past . Hopefully they will clean this up .
We have been going here for years and frequently also order take out. The food quality has gone significantly downhill. We recently went, there was something off about the chicken, and we didn't eat it...and they still charged us. Will not be returning unless there is a change.
