Match Eatery And Public House New Westminster

Booked on fathers day weekend so it was busier than usual but not packed. Hostess was popping in and out of the front room when we arrived which made an awkward interaction from the start. Requested a booth for 6 and seated us at a booth which looked like only seated 4 (we didnt fit . Moved to a second table near the entrance to the casino, It was more of a lounge vibe with the tables very low (like shin height . Ended up waiting 20 mins after our reservation time to be seated. As soon as we were ready to order our server informed us last call was at 8. (It was already 7:30? . Linguine and mac n cheese were very bland only really enjoyed the nachos and that was a because of the dips. Overall...

We love Match it’s one of our favourite spots in the city. This said, we happened to have a new bartender that evening who didn’t make the drinks to taste. We’re there often so we do recognize when things are a bit out of sync. There were 3 drinks that had to be “revised”. Our server was super friendly and accommodating, and replaced them. He even covered a drink and cake for my husband’s birthday. He was very attentive and an excellent server. Overall a good experience and we’ll keep coming back.

Went for UFC and dinner, food was good and the crowd as well but not as full as it usually is on a UFC night. Waitress/service not good unfortunately, not one smile and seemed very disinterested in her job, did the bare minimum.
