If you are north or east of Bridgewater, force yourself to drive west on the 202 just for dinner or add in a shopping excursion before to Liberty Village and the other offerings in that area. I have never had anything less than a fantastic meal and excellent experience at Matt's, and tonight was no different. We have dined at Matt's many times over the years, and the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere is among the best you will find in the area. I was surprised to learn that they are now implementing a 3.5% service charge for credit card payments. I personally believe this is a poor policy, especially if customers are not notified beforehand. I understand that credit card fees can make it challenging for businesses, particularly small ones like restaurants, to be profitable, but I would prefer to see this cost incorporated into the menu prices rather than being hit with...
This was a very good restaurant. We enjoyed our table, server and even food. But this place is rated as one of the best in centrl jersey. I found it underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel like it was overpriced or poor in any fashion. I enjoyed my dinner and service and the ambiance was vibrant and enjoyable. But based on the reviews and ratings, I was unimpressed by the food. The Brie tart was delicious. The Grilled and Chilled Shrimp Cocktail with spicy Cocktail sauce was average and not spicy. The steak was surprisingly poor. Seemed well done as opposed to medium. In any respect. I wouldn't say don't go. Just lower your expectations.
We recently hosted our daughter's college graduation party at Matt's on Sunday, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was exceptional, featuring delightful calamari, Matt's signature Caesar salad, shrimp and pasta, and a flourless chocolate torte that was simply divine. The service was outstanding, making our celebration of our daughter even more special. Thank you, Matt and your team, for providing such a wonderful experience for our occasion!

Matt's RRG is my favorite restaurant. I appreciate that it's BYOB, allowing me to bring a nice bottle or two of wine. There are plenty of excellent wine shops nearby. I take my picky 87-year-old dad here every year for his birthday, and he really enjoys it, which is quite a compliment! The food is consistently fantastic, and the manager, Stephan, is wonderful. He always enhances our experience and adds to the enjoyment of our evening.
You always know that you will get an amazing meal with outstanding service at Matt 's, but somehow they always seem to outdo themselves each time we go. Not only are the menu options amazing and ever changing, they will customize your selection to meet your wants. We can 't wait for our next excuse to find a babysitter and get back for another amazing meal although it 's our 8 year old 's favorite restaurant too!
We hosted a dinner party for eight in a private dining room. The food was outstanding—delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent as well; the staff was both polite and efficient. The setting was lovely and appealing.
Matts red rooster is a super restaurant. We always go when we visit flemmington. The food and service is very good.
