I was passing through Parry Sound and saw this pizzeria and knew I had to stop. I’m so happy I did…. Not only did the owner greet me with kindness but shared his story of Maurizio’s and where the ingredients of his pizzas come from.Well I left with 2 pizzas and I came back the very next day to get another 2. If your in the area stop in and enjoy their pizza. I stopped in to grab a pizza to get me through my 4 hr drive. The pizzas I picked up are so delicious(Canadian and Apple Cheddar Bacon) Amazing fresh ingredients. The people there each spoke to me to make sure my experience was top notch. They explained where the oven came from and how it worked and were super friendly. It is nice to see a whole team so passionate about the product they put out. It really makes a difference. I just wish this place wasn't so far from home. Goderich could use a place like this. Thank you for a wonderful meal. ?
We always try to support the local economy wherever we go, so when we were in Parry Sound, we knew we had to try the gourmet pizza at Maurizio's. We ordered the Cardiac and the Canadian pizzas. The choice meats on my Cardiac pizza were delicious on the perfectly cooked thin crust. Chef Maurizio and his staff were very friendly and helped us navigate through their signature pizza menu. We will definitely make Maurizio's our go-to spot when we are at the cottage!
The owner took our order personally. He was very pleasant and took the time to talk with me about my favourite past time which is cooking. They offered us complimentary caniloni and made them fresh to order. The pizza was so good we found ourselves finishing the whole pizza when we only meant to eat half and take the other half home. We went to the restaurant to take out some pizzas for dinner at our cottage. The staff was very friendly and informative about their menu options. I appreciated that they do not use garlic in their red pizza sauce, as I have allergies. The pizzas were generously topped and tasted delicious, with a great crust that wasn't too thick. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Delicious pizza!!! Honestly the best pizza we have had in years. I enjoyed the Canadian which was top notch great sauce, meat, cheese, nice thin crust. My husband got the Vampire Slayer it was fabulous. I would definitely recommend treating yourself to their yummy pizza. I wish we were fortunate enough to have a pizza place like that out in the prairies.
BEST Pizza I've ever had!! This place is a must to check out. One of the staff was sharing with us that the dough is made fresh on the premises and you can smell and taste the freshness. The Chef is literally making your pizza fresh right in front of you as you wait and he's an award-winning chef too! Friendly staff and clean place!
My dad and I love pizza and travel around to different pizza spots in Ontario. The shipwreck and primo pizzas were some of the best authentic pizza we have ever had.
