Maxfield's Pancake House

2024 Update: My crepes with fresh strawberries looked good, but every few bites, I detected something that was a little off. My friend and I appreciate that they let us sit there for a few hours, but I for one, am not returning. I developed horrific digestive cramps and was doubled over in pain. I had to stay in a public restroom for 30 minutes and was afraid I wouldn't be able to drive home. Something was bad indeed I hightailed it to the bathroom when I got home. Once this spoiled food was out of my system, I was fine and dandy!! This is a typical coffee shop with a vast menu, serving classic breakfast items all day. I enjoyed my breakfast very much. I was initially hesitant as I was not planning to eat out and I did not dress up like my usual. I was wearing joggers and workout clothes. The man at the reception immediately waved and smiled at me when I came in so it was a sigh of relief that they weren’t judgmental at all I was seated almost immediately and everyone was very attentive and serving with smiles. I was given my drinks right away. I love how fluffy my omelette was! I ordered the Kaiyan omelette (tomato, onion, feta) It looked so appetizing. A good old homestyle family, restaurant. Pie and coffee are always on the menu along with a good hot cup of soup. Great place to meet with friends for an early dinner or a late night. Never feel rushed and lots of food for every serving.

I hadn't visited in a while, but my experience was great. The Eggs Benedict were perfect, and the avocado lotto was excellent—fresh and light. Everything was wonderful!

One of my favorite breakfast spots in the suburbs. Had a Reuben this day. One of the best I've ever had. Sorry, no pictures this time. Well worth it though.

The decor feels quite outdated. The server was efficient, but not particularly friendly or attentive. However, the skillet breakfasts were quite good.
