Not many restaurants open on the port in Gruissan on a midweek October day so decided to give this place a try. Had the menu du jour. Very very good. Gratine of mussels were hot and cheesy and de shelled, served in an escargot dish. Beignet of supions were delicious. Mains were ossobucco with pasta and guardien de toro, also with pasta. Both excellent ossobucco even had the traditional orange zest in the sauce, and the guardien was succulent and tasty. Only complaint there was too much food. Couldn't eat the pasta. No room, for desert. We didn't take wine, so unable to comment. Staff were attentive and pleasant. Great view across the port and comfy seating. Will return if in Gruissan again.
A sunny October Monday and after looking at the relatively few restaurants around the harbour are we chose Maxims for a pizza and ice cream lunch. It was a good choice, the toppings on the pizzas were generous and the ice creams delicious. A carafe of hose red made it a good simple lunch stop at a very reasonable price. We sat outside and watched the world go by. We would happily go there next time we visit Gruissan
This is a family run restaurant beside the marina in Gruissan. Nice location as, in winter you have good views from inside and in summer a terrace outside. The food is good and naturally tends towards a wide range of seafood. They have a menu du jour at 17 euros (Jan 2018) with a reasonable choice as well as a la carte. Also good range of pizzas. Wine prices are good as well.
A warm welcome from the pleasant waitress; good seat in the shade; prompt provision of menus and aperos. The fish dishes were extremely tasty and copious, service was prompt, attentive and smiling. We have been going to this restaurant for quite a few years, but stopped last year as the service and food was not good. Happily back to the old high standards so we will return
