Best batter for fish and chips this side of the Channel. The other day went for lunch because they had lamb shank and OH MY GOD. It was like home cooking. Real potatoes to make the mash, real chopped carrots just perfectly not too cooked to make them crunchy and keep all the flavours, the gravy exactly what it ought to be. The mix of all was heaven. Hadn't realised that this was no longer the Canadian Bar, walked passed in the afternoon and noticed the kitchen is open all day. We decided to eat inside and it has been renovated in a typical Irish pub style. Good drinks and food menu. Kids shared battered cod, chips and mushy peas and we had a chicken salad. Excellent service, food came super quick. It was delicious. Will be back for the weekend Irish breakfast!! (served all day)

Good beer, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Went there last Saturday and they had a great DJ, playing a good mix of (mostly rock) music. Will come back to try the food...
