I’m an idiot. Thought I’d give this McDonald’s another go. It’s a Tuesday night so can’t be too busy I thought… we’ll I placed the order at 4.45pm and an hour later I check on the McDonald’s app to see where the food is, to find out the cancelled the order as the milkshake machine was out of order. We only ordered one. Notify me maybe?! Anyway o should have kept an eye, so ordered again. Two cheeseburgers and two fries, how hard can that be? Very it seems. An hour later and still no food. I phoned McDonald’s and was unlucky enough to get the grumpiest and rudest young lady in the phone I have ever encountered. She said it was nothing to do with them, and phone Uber, I asked if she could at least check to see if my order had been received? She mumbled something completely incomprehensible so I asked to speak to a manager, at which point she hung up on me. And the phone has been off the hook since, I called Uber who finally got things moving two hours later… Finally the order arrived and it was absolutely disgusting. Old, rock hard and freezing cold. No drinks delivered and the special requirements (for allergies) weren’t followed so we couldn’t have eaten it even if it was edible. Uber won’t refund me as they say McDonalds are at fault, and McDonald’s blame Uber. There’s no accountability or protection for your cash if you order with the app and things go wrong. So yeah, another £20 and two hours wasted. Don’t bother. This is the worst McDonald’s I have ever used and I’m not even over exaggerating. They’ve never got a full menu on offer and what they do sell or send is inedible. And you can’t complain as they hang up on you. Avoid at all costs.
