I give this McDonald's 4 stars. Despite the occasional mistake, the staff is friendly and willing to accommodate any issues. It's the busiest McDonald's in Altoona, but they still manage to get the job done with a smile. The restaurant is kid-friendly, with small tables and chairs for children to eat together. Parking is ample, with the option to park at Popeyes and walk over. Wheelchair accessibility is great, with all doorways accessible and outdoor seating available. Just be cautious of the drive-thru traffic. Regarding dietary restrictions, they offer options that are gluten-friendly, not necessarily gluten-free.
I have never had a problem at this restaurant until tonight. They could not figure out how to accept the 4 for $4 deal as advertised in the app. I was charged $6 and told I received a free McChicken, but I actually paid full price for everything and did not receive the deal. Neither the employee at the window nor the manager could resolve the issue. I should have complained more while I was there. Overall, very dissatisfied with the experience.
Joan is an extremely impolite woman. She was verbally abusing my mom and demanding that she hurry up and give her the change. She claimed they do not serve food at the tables, despite the fact that they brought my order directly to me. While it doesn't bother us to grab our own food, her attitude was extremely unpleasant. On a positive note, the management was excellent. They handled the situation with kindness and understanding.
Don't like the fact that McDonald's hires children to make our food. My order was messed up multiple times. And the children behind the counter were very disrespectful. Food was made incorrectly. I do not recommend eating here. One of the kids that were cleaning decided he wanted to pick on my disabled girlfriend. When asked to stop he laughed and said you're not my boss. Ordered a double quarter pounder with out onions add bacon. Got home to find a single quarter pounder with lettuce tomatoes. Asked for a large rootbeer gave me a medium rootbeer. Physically watched them Pour the medium rootbeer in a large cup and loaded it with ice to make it look like a large.
