Mckennaa€™s Tea Cottage

I live in Seal Beach, Ca., and have brought many of my friends to McKenna's Tea cottage over the years; They have always enjoyed themselves. Lovely ambiance, good service, excellent choice of teas, and lots of other food choices such as: soup, salad, and my personal favorite quiche. Finger sandwiches are always good and served on lovely tiered trays. The place is charming. The tea was great and lots of options there. The hats were fun. The owner/manager was very sweet and flexible, but service took forever, tea and food took so long to get to us and it's a high tea that didn't include pastries, I had to buy them extra and they were frozen. The sandwiches were fine, but even for tea sandwiches a bit skimpy. My yr old didn't even like the cookie that came with the kid's high tea. She loved the experience because she didn't know differently, but I could have paid the same for something more extravagant with pastries which is what she was most looking forward to...

I loved this place for the atmosphere and the cute little tea pots and cups. I felt like I was in old England having tea with my friends. But it was a little pricey for the food quality. The sandwiches barely had filling. But since it is a family owned business I wasn’t to surprised by the price points. But they should step up there food quality and put some more filling in the sandwiches.

I think with a bit more attention to the sandwiches this would be much nicer. The tea was excellent and we enjoyed the service and setting. While I realize the food which comes with a tea service is somewhat limited, I did find the sandwiches lacking in flavor and variety. For for the Queen Mum Tea I expected something tastier. It was a girl’s afternoon tea with my mom and sister and it was a lovely treat! McKenna’s Tea Cottage has great service, lovely ambiance, yummy food and delicious tea! We thoroughly e joyed our experience and will definitely be back soon!

Celebrated my five year olds birthday here. Service was great! Perfect for a unique experience for the little ones. Pinky up!

Cost was high for basic sandwiches that were all different sizes (even the same flavored ones). Tea was good though.
