We were planning on going to The Meadowdore cafe but it only opened at 10, so we called here instead. I ordered a coffee £2.80) and eggs on toast £6) and found that it was very expensive. It came with 2 small pieces of sourdough bread which was nice but reinforced the 'very expensive ' comment above. I have been working in the Lake District for a while and really enjoy the area. When my mother visited me, we stopped by a small café for coffee. Everything was fine until I inquired about vegan cake options. The guy working behind the counter's attitude suddenly changed and he became rude and sarcastic. He had a conversation with his coworker for about 10 minutes trying to figure out if there were eggs or dairy in some of the cakes, showing they had no knowledge of their own food's allergens.
