Went there for Happy Hour in their new location. $1 Oysters and $1 clams. nice deal but... their bill was so convoluted and misleading. Each item is shown at a much higher price and then a deduction for happy hour. Turns out they also add 4% to each item ordered. Why? credit card surcharge w/o asking if you are going to pay by cc. By the way, no where was it written about a 4% charge for credit cards. So I paid with cash and had some change coming. When I asked the bartender where the change was, she said, Oh, we don 't give change . Really? Had been to Meal previous location many times for Happy Hour without any issue. Dined here February 25, 2022. Been wanting to eat here back when they had the bottomless drink brunches. Really wanted to try more items on the menu but was here pretty late. Ordered the mac cheese (not a bite left). Up All Night (yum), Miss Nutley (delish), Paloma-Cita, Downeast Cider Original (huge fan) and sampled the malbec (The Show) El Don Mora (it was cool to see the thyme? lit smoking). The place has a modern vibe to it and appreciate the kitchen bar being open late. The staff were all pretty friendly helpful too. Great music playlist. This place has so many delicious sounding items. Heard they are bringing back brunch. Will return.
I kept hearing buzz about this place since it moved locations and am so glad I checked it out. I love when places have happy hours that include small bites and damn do the happy hour foods here SLAP. The Mac and cheese was amazing and probably my favorite of the items I tried. I also enjoyed the Thai chick nuggets which were an uncommon twist but delicious non the less. Both times I've been by the bartenders were super friendly and introduced themselves as though they knew I'd be back (which I will be). Looking forward to checking this place out either for brunch or later at night when they have music to see what the vibe's like.
My second review but 1st since they moved New place same great food. I sit at the bar and the bartenders are so sweet and they also know what they are doing. I got a glass of wine not on happy hour menu but I did not like the ones they had on it so don't mind paying extra.(maybe they can discount all wines during happy hour but oh well) Then I got the 1 dollar oysters that are so fresh and tasty know how they do it but so good I then got the meal chips also great Happy hour still can add up but what a great spot to meet up with some friends and have some wine and snacks

I love this place. The food never disappoints! The Korean Beef Bulgogi is killer! My absolute favorite. The Potato Rustica and 7 spiced dusted tuna are my dinner of choice. I can't get enough! I've been coming here for years and now with the new location, I love the nightlife and the reverse happy hour that includes food. The friendliest and nicest staff. Mark, the owner is awesome and makes you feel welcome. He knows what he's doing cause I don't know anyone that can cook this good in the area. My home away from home! You won't be disappointed, the food is excellent!
I just left dinner at Meal, decent crowd for a saturday early evening. The bartending staff was attentive and excellent. While the food was decent tasting, the portions were very small. So small that my entire entree took up only 1/4 of the plate (ahi tuna) and even then most of it was rice. I just feel like if i am paying for a $30 entree, I would hope the portions were decent. After that, it was a bit of a letdown. Would I come back for dinner? Probably not. If I wanted tapas, I'd go to Spuntino.
Outstanding! Wish I took pics of the food but was enjoying the night without phones. Oysters were incredible, short rib was the best I've ever had. Desserts were amazing. Service was excellent and warm and welcoming environment. 10/10!
Very disappointed,steaks and food overpriced, New York prices can do without .No bread or bread sticks served had a party they would not let us bring in the cake,save your money!!

Food is great but very overpriced. I got same quality at a new place in Woodland Park -Mesa Grill. Just went to Mecca for first time tonight. MEALS has a good happy hour daily.
First time here. The place is nice and was buzzing on a Thursday evening. Good selection of bourbon and rye. Priced reasonably. I will visit again.
