Mediterranean Mezza Bar

This place is located where an old piano shop was when the Paramount Theatre opened in 1950 and some of the fixtures and furnishings look like they date back to that year. No, it's not a supermodern restaurant but it is spotlessly clean right down to the bathrooms, and the donair is truly delectable. I had the jumbo beef and it was simple and straightforward, with very basic fixings skipping all of the esoteric and unoriginal junk that some people like to pile on their donairs. The amount of meat is more than ample and absolutely melted in my mouth. I had to have falafel, so I was looking for mmb. it was bigger than me with many tables in an adjoining room. I had falafel with tons of fresh veggies, pickles, radishes and many tahini. the pita was fresh. but it was white, full wheat would have been nice, but it's not a deal breaker. the Falafel balls were prefabricated, but were very good, perfectly fried, crispy and tasteful. the owner was very nice and very courteous with my order. I'm back, depending on it.

Tried this little downtown gem a few months back & it is now our go-to lunch stop. The donair platter is our favorite, second is the chicken shwarma platter. The side salads (tabbouleh, fattoush) are incredible. Burgers are pretty good too. Their donair is loaded, and is easily the best in the city. Food is fresh & tasty. They have a great breakfast special that we really want to try. Highly recommend this friendly place.

We ordered at the front and found a seat. The Donair was hot and fresh.I ordered the large size and its a two hander for sure. Our waitress was pleasant and checked to see if we needed anything else. The place was clean and inviting. I will be back to check out the rest of the menu. If you are downtown you at least have to try it. Keep up the great work.

I cannot live without this place! This family run restaurant is just wonderful. Fresh delicious affordable food. I would eat the Lebanese dishes. I eat here weekly and have never been disappointed, which is odd for me! Love it! I suggest that you have the hummus with pita and tabbouleh and kibbeh. There is space to stay and eat as well.

Nice Mediterranean family run business making food from their origins. I was in the Med when in the military and their food is just like I remember. What a treat to find! I will make it a point to stop there again next time I am in the area.
