Meraki Wholefoods Kitchen

I wandered into Chirn Park looking for a Post Office. Chirn Park is a small Hamlet sandwiched between Southport, Labrador and Biggera Waters a Kilometer from the Sea a few K's north of Broadbeach. Wandered into Meraki (nicely Air-Conned and open 6.30 to 3pm daily) and ordered a Sushi Nourish Bowl out it came Brown Rice, Cucumber, Carrot, Cabbage, snow peas, radish, capsicum, avocado toasted sesame seeds and Nori with some honey baked chicken and a Cranberry and Hibiscus fruit drink. Visiting Meraki mid-week for lunch with a friend, we were greeted by the owner who is clearly passionate about serving healthy food and creating a light, bright, clean cafe. We had the Falafel Nourish Bowls which lived up to it's name. Along with a medium coffee it was all we needed to be filled, refreshed and on our way. The service was quick, the food was fresh, colourful and well presented and the servings were healthy size. The owner was energetic and engaging but happy to leave us to chat.I would recommend this cafe for individuals or groups gathering for breakfast, brunch or lunch or just to enjoy a quick or take away coffee. I love this place ... after so many fine health food restaurants in the area being lost to more commercial enterprises, this one is a true gem. The first thing I tried was the Eggs Benny - and I can't go past it, but my dining friends have enjoyed a lot more from menu, all with excellent reviews! Just check out their FB page if you want to make your mouth water. What makes the E B so special? ... perfectly poached eggs, lemon-seared asparagus, sliced avocado, and baby spinach on a grain muffin with homemade, guilt free cashew hollandaise. So GOOOOD.

I've visited Meraki Kitchen twice now and I can't get enough! Their chocolate granola was a spectacularly filling breakfast -- so yummy with the berry compote. I'm generally not much into health food but their sushi bowl (with chicken added) may have been a conversion moment for me. All their fabulous menu offerings are enhanced by the great coffee (made by a very quick and friendly barista-- Ricki I think?) and wonderful outdoor seating options. We went for lunch. My husband ordered the special from the little blackboard propped up against a chair that was placed strategically so that you would see it on your way in. However, it was from Mother's Day a week before and they were no longer doing it! In all the time that we were there no one removed the little blackboard - go figure. I had the acai bowl nice, very big serve. My husband the chicken burger. Also nice but the sweet potato crisps were too oily.

got to this very nice cafe,didn't really know what to order so the waitress suggested an open sushi bowel,I ordered it it took like 40 mins not even offering a glass of water while I waited all that time,finally I got my order,very disappointed in what was dished up a bit of chicken with salad which was mainly cabbage and rice.totally not worth the wait or the $20 I spent there....never going back

I was shocked. Simple scrambled eggs with a side of grilled tomato. The eggs were soooooooo dry and tasteless and over done, and although I paid extra for the side of tomato I received 1/4 of a tomato hardly grilled. I would have been embarrassed to serve this and I should have said something but left it unfinished except for the bread. Very disappointing and certainly not soul food

My partner and I always eat here. The big breakfast is an actual big breakfast and the smoothies bowls are amazing. The only thing I can fault is that when advertising perfectly poached eggs on the menu and you have to live up to it and can't serve hard poached eggs! Coffee is on point too. Poor excuse for an acai bowl the photos on here and Facebook is false advertising. I have attached their photo and the one i recieved. Didnt even put in the effort to remove the leaves off the strawberries

Fantastic whole food cafe serving interesting dishes with a focus on clean eating. Also doing great coffee, sweets, smoothies and teas. Can highly recommend. Lots and lots of GF options too.
