The most troubling moment came when he reached into the transparent fridge to grab some soggy peppers, using his bare hands—complete with a side of sweat and who knows what else. I wouldn't dare handle wet ingredients like that in my own home, let alone at a restaurant. What on earth is wrong with this guy? Not only was the sandwich the most disgusting and unsanitary I've ever encountered, but the owner's aggressive attitude towards customers was alarming, and he genuinely seems to need help. You can't run a business like this! If he's behaving this way right in front of customers, I can only imagine what goes on in the back kitchen or after he uses the restroom. I recorded the entire ordea...

The most amusing part of my visit was when I asked for napkins while he was ringing me up. He looked at me like I had three heads and snapped, "Yeah, okay, I got it!" as if my request was completely unreasonable. It felt awkward, as if I shouldn't have asked at all—like perhaps he would have just given them to me without me having to say anything. My sandwich cost between $17.00 and $18.00, and it seemed like he just rounded up the total. This made me wonder if he charges sales tax correctly. I paid in cash, so I’m left questioning whether he pockets that money or actually deposits it. The whole experience was quite strange, and the owner’s responses to reviews are just as off-putting; he...

This one was on my list to try and was passing by the area for an appointment so popped in. It was definitely a little early for a sandwich but I wasn’t gonna let that stop me and I received no objections about making a lunch sandwhich during breakfast hours.I went with the Cugine even though the Capo looked more my classic order. Hard for me to turn down good eggplant and this one had some buzz plus it sounded devine.HOLY MOLY!!! What a sandwich!?!?! Massive but light and easy to eat and want more. Every aspect is perfection especially the bread infused w salami. I will be back. I have to try the Capo but I can’t imagine going here and not getting this Cugine as this is easily one of the be...

As someone who works in the industry, there's nothing quite like the excitement of wanting to try everything on the menu. Mercato Cucina truly captures that feeling, offering high-quality ingredients that are expertly prepared by skilled professionals. You can taste the care and dedication in every bite, even in something as simple as a sandwich. It's clear that Chef David has put a lot of thought into both the menu and the restaurant's layout, creating a space that is simple, charming, and inviting. This is straightforward food done exceptionally well. It doesn't get any better than this, and I can't wait to return whenever I'm in the area. Réservez une table maintenant

Just moved to Huntington from Bay Ridge Brooklyn and by chance my wife and I walked by this place and saw menu items such as “shore road” and “67th street” (Places in bay ridge and dyker heights). What an amazing find!, if you are from Brooklyn or want authentic old school Italian products, treats and sandwiches this is THE place to go in Huntington. We are so happy we found this place that reminds us of Bay Ridge/Dyker and I was worried I would have to drive back to get a quality Italian sandwich, but this place definitely lives up to our standards. Rainbow cookies are A like villabate alba. Amazing food. Thank you

My wife wouldn’t allow me to cookFor my 50th and we needed quality food for my family! This place utilizes the best ingredients and is all hand crafted by an amazing chef (David) The food was truly delicious and Dave even took into account my nieces allergies making me feel at ease at the party. The service was impeccable and I will be using this place solely for allOf my catering needs going forward. Thank you again Dave! Ps his family does amazing work for those with special needs! Check out the Clark Gilles center next door!

My family and i did a private cooking lesson with david to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. David taught us to make his master sauce, a shrimp dish and fresh mozzarella. He used quality ingredients and educated us on how to find the best ingredients to use at home. Overall a really fun experience that i would highly recommend. Thanks so much david!!
