Carrot cake is must try with perfect blend of spice for the cake and sweetness from the frosting. It?s a much finer texture than usual which makes it that much more delicious. New York Cheesecake was extremely dense and more sour than expected. Napoleon had flaky pastry and extremely smooth pastry cream. Ambience: 5/5 nice and clean decoration. The lemon tart is so tart and lemony that if you like lemons as order! The cafe was perfect. The Hector who served me made it on site. I never had it so perfect! This establishment is a wonderful gem filled with a variety of delightful treats. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. We sampled the mini pies, crème brûlée, and pumpkin cheesecake bar, along with a biscuit and cream cake. I would definitely recommend trying some of these delicious desserts!

I like old town Monrovia. I discovered this cute little Cuban restaurant/bakery called Merengue on Myrtle Avenue today. I ordered a Cuban tamale, strawberry shortcake and a double cortadito for lunch. I enjoyed all items I had and the prices were reasonable. There are still so many items I wanna try on their menu. I'll return.
This is a lovely Cuban cafe. The customer service was excellent, and my food arrived quickly. I ordered the Chimichurri Chicken Sandwich on Cuban bread, which came with plantain chips. It was delicious, and I will definitely return! Additionally, they offer outdoor seating, which is wonderful given the current circumstances.

This is our first time at Merengue Bakery Cafe it's a Cuban bakery just Porto's and Tropicana bakery but better flavors in theirs food and their pastrys and they are so good.
The staff was wonderful, and the crème brûlée was delicious.
