Metate Authentic Mexican Dobbs Ferry

I visited Metate for the first time this week during lunch after hearing some excitement about it in the neighborhood. We each ordered three tacos: the shrimp and steak tacos were excellent, but I wasn’t a fan of the lobster taco as it had a strong fishy taste. My daughter particularly enjoyed the chicken tinga and chorizo tacos the most. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, accommodating us quickly since we were pressed for time. Overall, it was delicious and reasonably priced, so I will definitely be returning.

I found the quesadillas to be really tasty, and my girlfriend mentioned that the chicken burrito was quite good as well. The chips and salsa were exceptional—crispy and not greasy at all. However, parking and traffic can be quite challenging on that street, especially when a FedEx truck double parks for 10 minutes, effectively blocking the road. It's best to visit during off-peak hours and avoid rush hour unless you plan on walking. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

The most amazing Mexican food you can find in the COUNTY! I'm a regular here so I thought I'd finally leave a review but I've brought many friends and even my mexican girlfriends grandma. She loved the food and she's the cook of the family. The frozen mojitos and daiquiris are amazing especially for the summer. I personally love the quesadillas and the Mole Poblano literally falls off the bone! Definitely worth a try!

Parking: Always we did find parking in front of of the restaurant without a problem. You have to pay$2-3 Kid-friendliness: They are nice and welcoming people. The best Mexican food in town! This place serves truly authentic cuisine. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the restaurant is always kept clean. Be sure to try the churros—they're a must!

Absolutely delicious! I've visited this restaurant with my family several times, and every experience has been fantastic. We especially adore the chicken enchiladas verde!
