Mid Peninsula Seafood Market

I attempted to visit this restaurant last night around 8 PM but found it closed. I figured they must be closing early due to staffing issues. Today, I tried again at 5 PM and, to my surprise, it was still closed, despite their posted hours indicating they should have been open until 9 PM. The reader board said "open," but the door had a "gone fishing" sign. I wish they had updated their status on Yelp and Google to indicate they were closed. I was really looking forward to trying their food, so I'm disappointed I couldn't. If you're considering visiting, I recommend giving them a call first to avoid any inconvenience.

The salad arrived without dressing at first, and their only available option was ranch. Both of my side dishes were missing, which the staff didn’t notice until I inquired and they had to check the ticket—something they clearly didn’t bother to do while preparing the meal. To top it all off, it was concerning to see that the kitchen staff weren’t wearing gloves or washing their hands regularly after handling the fish and shrimp. Additionally, both the front and back of the house staff were in flip-flops, raising further sanitation concerns. Ultimately, we decided to leave and go get pizza instead.

Last week, my husband stopped by to pick up some fish spread to go. We have dined here more than 30 times pre-Covid, but unfortunately, he was treated extremely rudely by the two staff members at the counter. Because of this experience, I have no intention of returning. Additionally, the fish spread was not impressive either.

I used to visit this restaurant from time to time, but I haven't been in a while. I stopped by today (03/08/2022) while running errands nearby to grab some lunch, but unfortunately, I discovered that they are closed. I heard that a taco place will be opening there soon. I visited this restaurant and tried the grouper sandwich—it was fantastic! However, the burger I ordered was stale, and the clam chowder was cold. Overall, the food quality was disappointing.

Absolutely awful. Our food came out terribly wrong and we left it was so bad. Shrimp tasted like plastic COVERED in garlic. Do not bother.
