I don't give 5 reviews often and not usually for a restaurant that we haven't been back to multiple times and gotten consistently outstanding food and service. However, our recent meal at Midpoint absolutely wowed us and I can't possibly give it anything less. We made early reservations for Saturday night and asked to be seated outside on their rooftop deck overlooking Main St. We were given our choice of 2 tops and as the sun went down and the breeze picked up, the staff distributed blankets and wraps to all the tables. Very cozy and charming. Immediately after we were seated, we were brought an amuse bouche: two small spoons of shrimp ceviche. It was delicate and zingy and very refreshing....
Got into town and had to find dinner on a Tuesday night. This place is one of the gems of highlands. It has a nice outdoor eating area and that spot is very low key with music playing and access to their bar area. The indoor seating is very nice and more akin to quality dining and more intimate feel. The drink selection is great and gives lots of options. The food is international and eclectic. You can find anything to fit your desires and the ability for vegans to dine is limited but think you could remove a protein and they will have options for you. Our server was nice, friendly and attentive. We had the Indian butter chicken and the Cuban churroasco steak. Both were absolutely phenomenal...
Fabulous restaurant with fine menu, delicious food and attentive servers! Our party of three shared two salads to start — the beet fennel and the calamari — both full of flavor! I chose the Thai Sea Bass special and it did not disappoint! My sister opted for the Artichoke Crusted Halibut and the plate looked beautiful! She ate every bite! I'm not a fan of trout, but my Mom raves about her meal! All restaurant prices have gone up, but I think $15 for a lemon drop martini is expensive. Regardless, we will be back!!!
Ms. Teresa welcomed us without a reservation, we were quickly seated, then greeted with an awesome amuse bouche: house made shrimp ceviche--absolutely fantastic! Mr. Jarrod (sp? our server brought freshly made drinks, we shared the bang bang shrimp (just hot enough and an excellent locovore charcuterie board--fresh cheeses and gluten FREE! the daily risotto with grilled lobster surpassed expectations... would ABSOLUTELY recommend Midpoint in Highlands NC!

The service at this restaurant is exceptional. The food is absolutely delicious. Each of us ordered a different dish and all six of us loved our choices. While it is not cheap, we were extremely satisfied with the high quality of the food. The menu offers a variety of options for everyone. Overall, we rated the service, food, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5. The average price per person for dinner is between $30-50.

Superb service. Amazing food. All six of us ordered different entrees. All six praised their choice.Not inexpensive but we were very pleased with the quality of the food.The menu has something for everyone.
