I visited this restaurant on a Thursday afternoon during happy hour. The rolls and drinks were discounted during this time, and surprisingly, it was not very busy. The restaurant is quite spacious inside and also has a full bar. We started with the edamame, which was addicting and well-seasoned. We also ordered the baked salmon roll and Garlic crunch roll because it was one of the few that had real crab. The order took a while, but everything came out hot and fresh, and the food was good. The service was attentive, with someone checking on our table regularly and offering refills. This is a great spot for all occasions, and I would recommend going during happy hours for good prices.
Great service, friendly, and physically a super large restaurant so you never have to wait long but really overpriced for their quality. I think this is an okay spot if you're just looking for convenience or attending the Monrovia faire, but you can find better sushi than what they offer here at the same price. To be honest, it has a very Pasadena-esque vibe.. That is, it feels like they cater to a financially well-off demographic that isn't quite as food-savvy. If you're a foodie or well-versed in sushi, you can skip this place.
My husband and I live in San Diego, but we unexpectedly discovered this restaurant while we were in East LA. As self-proclaimed sushi connoisseurs, we were blown away by the quality of the sushi here. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, the service is quick even during busy weekends, and the restaurant is well-maintained. If I could, I would rate this place 11/10. Love doesn't even begin to describe how much we enjoyed our experience here!
Great service, amazing food! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and were seated within minutes. We were surprised to hear that it was still Happy Hour (to our surprise) for about another hour. This was very welcome news since it was a Saturday at 4:30pm. We ordered the Garlic Edamame, Gyoza, Spicy Tuna Roll, Firecracker Roll, and Baked Lotus Roll. Definitely intend to visit again whenever we are back in the area! Réservez une table maintenant
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was impeccable and quick. The highlight of the meal was the delicious, fresh fish dishes. The menu offered a wide range of options and we can't wait to return to sample more of their extensive selection. Overall, we would give top ratings for the food, service, and atmosphere. The price per person was reasonable, ranging from $20 to $30 for dinner.
We had a great meal at this Japanese restaurant tonight, ordering a mix of raw sushi/sashimi and cooked rolls. Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic, as usual. The only downside is that the wait time can be long on weekends. The atmosphere is the best we've experienced at a Japanese restaurant. If you haven't tried it yet, make sure to visit! I loved dining at this restaurant, which used to be T Phillips. The sushi was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. I would recommend it for a dinner option, with prices ranging from $50 to $100 per person. The recommended dish to try is the roll.
