If there was a minus I would give it. Came all way from UK for my birthday to have a slice of birthday cake was so excited after seeing it on Netflix to find the rudest, most uninterested staff I have ever met. The girl on the counter ignored us for 10 minutes while she stood texting on her phone, she hardly spoke to us, no please, thank you or anything. The guy who made our order made no eye contact didn’t speak and was equally as rude! Failed to give us the order we made and didn’t even indicate that our order was ready.Wouldn’t mind but the actual items were sub-standard and poor probably because they say you can taste good when it’s made with love! Awful customer service. Trying to get the server to answer questions was like getting blood out of the stone. Such a shame as I'd been wanting to get the desserts here since watching the netflix episode on cristina tosi. The cereal milk soft serve was ok, and very expensive. The milk bar pie was nice, was again, very expensive. Would not recommend mainly because of the customer service. Had it been a pleasant experience, I think my review would have had a few more stars as the actual food was ok, if overpriced.
Still remember the first time I had milk bar in LA. It surprises me still till now. No matter where I travel to, cereal milk from Milk bar is my fav choice that always comforts my sweet cravings. It's definitely on the pricy side , $8 for a ice cream. Worth it but I wouldn't come too often. This location is busy during weekend which makes a bit hard to find a seating area for large group of people.
As some others here have noticed, the staff seems to be really inattentive. At least I was greeted when entering the place, but the employee behind the counter seemed to rather work on their laptop than take my order. Waited for a few minutes then left. Didn 't even get a goodbye when leaving.Apparently being hyped eliminates the need for customer service. ?
