Min Lokal - Réservation de table

A rustic wooden swing, home to several miniature potted plants hanging in the window has caught my attention. It's 11am on an icy Sunday morning and we're looking for our final Melbourne brunch. The warmth as we open the door to Min Likal rushes at us, and we're immediately seated at a long shared table. An intriguing collection of moss-filled terrariums decorate the tabletop, but it's the glass cabinet - home to miniature breakfast burgers and sweet stacks of waffles piled high with glistening fruit - that has me enchanted. As we order coffees we make no effort to hide our interest in the plates on our table; meals of complete strangers we're now sitting beside. I'm a little discouraged at...

Wow! Decisions , decisions....what to choose for breakfast at this local place in a back street off the main drag.I selected the spiced scrambled egg with Danish fetta, confit cherry tomato, roasted red onion.Absolutely superb delivery in a small skillet & it all tasted brilliant with top quality. The ONLY issue I have is the serving is small.They do a good coffee here too.Service is friendly, helpful & those who work here seem to enjoy it & take pride in what they do.I'll return when next is Melbourne.

My partner and I have visited Min Lokal twice over the past two weekends - a real recommendation in itself given the plethora of Fitzroy/Collingwood cafés.The coffees were well made, the chilli eggs and soldiers (on one occasion with a side of spicy sausage) DELICIOUS and interestingly presented, and the pastries, tray bakes and other sweet treats very more-ish. The staff are also very nice.We've added Min Lokal to our of our favourite local haunts and will be back soon.

A varied breakfast selection, we particularly enjoyed the bircher muesli and generous serving of fruit salad and there is an obvious emphasis on good coffee. Inside there are tables to share and the courtyard is a lovely place to catch the sun, or sit on the pavement and people-watch. Friendly, helpful staff. Réservez une table maintenant

Really nice brekky and lunch! I had a bircher muesli which was absolutely delicious and some chai! Staff is really friendly as well! I would love to go there every so often but unfortunately I don't live in Australia!

We keep coming back to this little find in George Street for the great coffee, good food and friendly staff. Girls are always so welcoming and we enjoy the quaint decor and warm atmosphere.

Min Lokal is nestled a few streets back from Brunswick St, which means that you can walk in on a Sunday morning at 11.30am and get a table straight away.

That Grilled corn, Halloumi and Zucchini fritter is the best breakfast I had for so long…. Great coffee and staff will just make your day!! trust me Réservez une table maintenant

Great coffee, good courtyard, nice change from Brunswick and Smith Sts. Menu changes enough to keep it interesting. Very laid back.

These guys do a great classic breakfast. The staff and owners are incredibly nice and make you feel very welcome.
