Total disaster from the beginning! Visiting family here as in the past always been pretty good for food and cost, straight away noticed the place was pretty empty whereas used to be extremely busy especially at the weekend, we ordered 3 x puddings and 1 x main meal plus 6 x soft drinks at a cost of £41, two sticky toffee puddings were freezing cold and had to be returned, the rocky road ice-cream came in a bowl, which looked very unappetising, the main chips were cold and the texture was that they had been reheats not fresh! Peas were very dry and the gammon was none exsistant, fatty and tough, Needless to say we all were very disappointed and will never come here again, the staff here were...
I stopped by for lunch before heading out to do some shopping. As expected, the restaurant was very quiet. There was a young family and another group near the play area. I ordered fish and chips and a fish finger butty, and the waitress was very pleasant. The food was good. However, while waiting for my meal, three men came in and sat in the middle of the room with their pints. They were extremely loud and were using foul language constantly. Surprisingly, they were not asked to tone down their language. This ruined what could have been an enjoyable experience for me. Great pub, brilliant value and choice. Great food and staff are excellent. Lovely time lunch. Southern fried hunters chicken, pulled pork, bacon, bbq sauce, with chips and salad. Atlantic cod battered in a lite batter, garden peas and chips with side portion of tartar sauce. Sticky toffee pudding and custard and prailene chocolate tart with scoop ice cream and drizzle of chocolate. Yum, lovely presentation, serves hot and thoroughly enjoy a lovely lunch out staff so lovely and friendly. Sorry, there were no pictures as we ate it up and forgot to take any. Food too yummy

The tables were full of used glasses were sticky Staff were not responsive and clearly needed training standing around waiting to be served and when ordered having to ask for our drinks as they just moved on to next customer The food was ok Price per person: £10–20
I had a wonderful time at this restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and efficient, friendly staff! The Peg did a fantastic job. The average price per person is £30-40. I highly recommend trying the Absolutely, Onion Rings, and Fries.
The food and drinks at this restaurant are amazing. The staff were outstanding and very attentive. I will definitely be returning and will recommend it to my friends and family.
