I currently live near Manchester, but every time I visit the area, I make sure to stop by Stuart's shop in St Andrews. The highlight for me has always been their amazing steak pies, which I believe are far superior to anything I can find down South. I often end up buying several pies to bring back to my friends and colleagues near my home, and they have even been enjoyed as far away as the Isle of Man! My work colleagues always ask when I'm planning to visit Scotland so they can have a taste of these amazing pies that they can't find down here. I have known Stuart and his dad from Tayport for over 20 years now, and in my opinion, they are definitely the best butcher around with a very friend...
4 of us ate at 6:30pm and the restaurant was only half full, but we had to wait to order and then to be served drinks. We ordered wings as a starter which arrived after our main course. Service was slow all night. Not being able to pay cash was inconvenient. However, the worst of it was 2 of the 4 of us were violently ill that night. 1 had the spicy burger the other the patriot. We were on a short golf holiday and the 2 people that were ill had their trip spoiled by this. We won’t be back.
Service was incredibly friendly and respectful. Needless to say, huge selection of beers. I got to try a few before deciding, and also won a free dessert because of a game of rock, scissors, paper. Fantastic place to go when it’s quiet, and you can have nice rekaxed chats with staff. 100% recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I purchased some sausages and a lamb meatball stuffed with haggis. Both were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I do not live in the area and cannot visit this restaurant often.
Surprisingly great food, staff quite friendly but a bit overworked. Found an alcohol free beer on tap, so big win for me. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
This restaurant has the best quality meats around. They also offer a great variety of non-meat products. The steak pies and mince rounds are excellent.
