My wife and I went out for dinner last night, having last visited in 2022. Our server, Emma, was exceptional—very friendly and attentive! We both ordered burgers with truffle fries and enjoyed some Doc's hard cider. The burgers were large, juicy, and downright delicious—truly some of the best we've had! The truffle fries were also perfect, and you can't beat an ice-cold Doc's cider. Even though we were quite full, we couldn't resist having coffee and taking a look at the dessert menu. That quick glance turned into us sharing an order of doughnuts with a side of chocolate mousse whipped cream! Loved the bartender on Friday night, welcomed us as soon as we set down at the bar and it wasn’t very busy. Before we left the bar was packed but his attention to us never wavered. We shared the burger and it was cooked just as we ordered. Great spirit collection and enjoyed a new Japanese whiskey. Loved that even though it got crowded we could still carry a conversation. We parked on the side street and didn’t have any trouble. A few meters available out front. Back patio with string lights would be nice when the weather heats up. Definitely would go back, great first visit!
Parkside is a fantastic neighborhood bar and kitchen. It offers a wonderful ambiance that strikes a balance between being welcoming and avoiding pretentiousness or typical bar clichés, and the service is excellent. I visited for dinner and enjoyed a delicious meal. The menu is just the right size—offering enough variety to please everyone without overwhelming you with too many choices. If you can't find parking on Bloomfield Ave, South Prospect is a convenient alternative right at the traffic light for easy access.
The place was very nice. Atmosphere cool. We went for brunch. Deviled eggs surprised me. Came with a twist that I happened to enjoy. The shrimp and polenta dish is a must try. Came with some biscuits that I happened to savor with this dish. ? Next time I promise pictures. I happened to be with family this time and our time was. Consumed with great conversations Bd laughs. Or maybe it was because Parkside was such a cool spot!? Hmmm. A must try again cause I'm eyeballing that skirt steak. See you soon!!

This restaurant has sadly declined. It used to serve incredibly delicious food, especially their steak frites, which came with pecorino and rosemary fries. However, this evening, my wife and I were served poorly cooked steak alongside basic microwave fries. We are incredibly disappointed by the deterioration in quality at this restaurant.
Good atmosphere, but has decreased in quality ever since opening. It’s basically a corporate restaurant package that someone bought, so ends up being pretty impersonal for a suburban bar. Also insane there are no changing tables in the bathrooms; not sure how a place like this survives being hostile to families with young kids.
This beautiful gem of a restaurant has fantastic food, a wonderful cocktail program, a lovely bar and interior, and is also extremely family friendly. So lucky to have this place in Verona!
Highlight of the night was GM Gabby who is a hospitality professional of the highest class. Food was great and service by April was top notch. Will be back.
