Was okay..... went on a Sunday afternoon.... Wasn't very busy but they close early for a diner..... Our server was nice, nothing over the top and seemed distracted at times but I expect that kind of impersonal service at a diner..... Coffee was terrible couldnt even drink it No lemonade so couldnt get a half half ..... They were 86'd on a few things..... tortilla wraps, russian dressing, the waitress had to ask if they still had coleslaw.... lol I got a pastrami sandwich..... they didnt have paninis so i got it on a roll ..... not skimpy on the portion thats for sure but not the best quality pastrami, no cheese, just slaw and sauce..... boring..... BLT was proper bacon cooked perfectly decent portions of each element... Fries were really nicely crsipy but absolutely zero seasoning....
I?ve loved the Miss America Diner since I first moved to jersey city 18 years ago, but had not gone for the past few years. Decided to revisit it and was not disappointed. Place looks lovely the perfect slice of Americana food was great (I had the meatloaf, friend had pancakes with eggs), service was efficient and very pleasant.
I had heard that the lunch there was really good so I decided to try breakfast. And to be perfectly honest it was terrible both my food and my friends. From being undercooked to just not tasting very good and then they didn't have the basic things that you would normally have when you go to a diner so we were very disappointed.
