I had heard about MKT from several co-workers and decided to give it a try. We went on a Thursday and all Alberta beers are on for $2.24- reason enough to visit. I started with the bucket of bones and they were underwhelming. The ribs were really tough. I have smoked ribs and mine are fall off the bone. These were not. My sister had the mussels and she said they were delicious. We shared some stadium fries and they were excellent. We also shared a smoked meat sandwich. It comes unassembled with the meat, sauerkraut, bread etc on a platter and you assemble the sandwich. It comes with hot mustard and we asked for regular mustard but were given the hot. Had a very nice night, enjoying some very good beers. The patio is "first come, first served" but we found a couple of chairs at the bar which suited us great. The bartenders were efficient and polite, the selection of beers is excellent and the general ambiance of the patio is great. Be warned however that this is Whyte Ave so it can be a bit noisy with all the people, cars and motorcycles passing by. The food menu is "pub style" but it does have a number of creative choices and our meals were excellent. I had the smoked meat sandwich which can "deconstruced". Really enjoyed it. Had a great time and look forward to coming back again.
I recently stopped by MKT to enjoy their offerings for "Wing Wednesday," they had a rather small selection of flavours yet they were all well prepared and quite tasty. Their house special Maple Bourbon Wings were very good and were probably my favourite from the evening. They have a rather wide variety of craft beers on tap and offer fairly average prices for these drinks. Their prices for food were not unusual for this type of craft beer bar. Their decor was quite modern and was laid out in a fairly spacious fashion which made for a rather pleasant evening out with friends.

So this was my 7th time to MKT but first time with a group this size. The waitress was way over her head and probably could have used some help. Many of us ended going to the bar for our drinks because she kept forgetting them. Food was great. I had the Cubano and it was delicious and could have fed 2 people easily. Great atmosphere and music.
Went here after event with family for food and beer. Wide selection of many beers...you can even do 5 oz size paddles. Food typical pub fare but very food. Only thing venue was loaded with 20 something's and was loud. Upstairs part a little more...More
Stopped in during the Whyte Ave. block party on July 2, 2017 Very nice location with a great patio that is well staffed and you wait for nothing. The Duck spring rolls were awesome
Food was good but never get niki as a waitress she was so rude and shouldn't be working in the food industry with her attitude. Absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated.

This is a good food place and was good service. The only issue is it is a little loud but I guess that is to be expected. It's what I would expect from a century property.
Nice lunch on the patio. Oriented to young adults. Historic site makes it a very pleasant place. Menu ok Service good.
