I visited here recently with friends, I had my two young babies with me and have found the staff to be quite rude, an older lady working there in particular. I wasn’t greeted with a smile or made to feel welcome, the lady serving me was quite abrupt, my baby was teething on this occasion and noticed I was being glared at and made to feel like my baby was making a scene. When asked if we could use two of the high chairs, the member of staff snapped that we couldn’t block the area we were sitting at I was made to feel like an inconvenience as I had my pram also with me. Today was my first visit to this lovely coffee shop. It's a shame it was spoilt by a particular member of staff. On ordering my coffee , which was a flat white with one shot of coffee as I don't like it strong, I was told it can't be done with one shot only two. I was offered a cappuccino which was not what I asked for. The lady was very confrontational and argumentative as to a flat white only has two shots of coffee. Why did I have to justify what I wanted !! Surely it's not difficult. Eventually I gave in and went with two shots. I met up with friends to grab a drink and a snack at this restaurant. We all placed our orders at the same time, but one item was missing when the food was delivered. After waiting for 15 minutes, I asked what seemed to be the owner how long it would take for the missing item to arrive. She rudely replied that she didn't know, as she was only in charge of serving drinks and not the food section. Clearly seeing my disappointment, she sighed and said she would find out. We waited another 5 minutes before the missing item finally appeared. I definitely won't be returning, as the owner was rude and the cakes we did have were dry and tasteless.
Went there for a coffee and lunch. My friend ordered whilst I sat down. The drinks were delivered and one was wrong being an iced latte and not the required large latte. The waitress returned a while later with the correct drink and proceeded to lecture my friend saying that the other waitress at the till had also heard him say he wanted an iced latte. This is extremely rude attitude from the waitresses and made us both feel extremely uncomfortable for the rest of the visit.

BEST CAKES IN COVENTRY… and coffee! I pop in for coffee and cake when i’m in Coventry, the staff are so lovely and its a really cosy atmosphere. My Mums favourite is the Lemon Blueberry cake but all of the cakes are sooo good. I contacted them at the very last minute to see if they could make my Mum a lemon blueberry birthday cake and even though they were really busy they fitted it in and it made my Mums day.
Was here today. Cakes are delicious (had biscotti cake which is lovely but didn’t really taste of biscotti). Sat upstairs which was quiet until a group of 8 came in to celebrate a 70th bday with afternoon tea, they were really noisy. I get they were celebrating but at times they were so loud I couldn’t hear my friend speaking across the table!! Latte was lovely.
Mum had a blood test in Coventry and as we don’t know the area very well we just googled cafes near me and luckily found this gem. Fabulous food, including gluten free and vegan, with a real buzz about the place and very busy. Plus, the owner came to chat to us which was a lovely touch. Try it out if you can!
ordered same drinks everyone was charged different, told the lady and was screamed at, told to get off my high horse. went and sat down 2/3 drinks arrived, when asked told that we weren’t getting the 3rd drink and no refund. rude, don’t spend money here, workers think they can treat customers like dirt.

The cakes and tea at this restaurant are fantastic. The samosas and salads are also delicious. It's a lovely place to visit, although our experiences have been slightly dampened by the older lady working there who has been a bit rude to us on a few occasions.
This restaurant doesn't receive the acknowledgement it deserves because their cakes are fantastic! It's the best cake I have ever tasted. I would definitely return when I am in the area again.
