We stumbled upon Wagamama in Coventry on a Monday night, desperate to find hot food for a band rider before they closed. Despite originally wanting to support a small, independent Japanese restaurant nearby, we were turned away due to their early closing time. In a last-minute effort, we turned to Wagamama and were not only accommodated with a late order but also had our food customized to resemble what we had originally hoped for. This is the best Wagamama we have ever been to! We have been dining at Wagamama for over a decade, trying their different locations across the country (almost monthly). From London, Manchester, Cheshire, Birmingham, Norwich and many more, we can confidently say that this is the best one yet! The food was exceptional - the squid was light and crispy, the ramen was flavorful and fresh, and the gyoza was soft yet crispy. It was a true delight! The service was also outstanding, thanks to the amazing chefs and Diana for her kind and warm service. Our son with allergies was catered to without any issues, accommodating his unique preferences. We visited a restaurant in Coventry city center that we used to frequent, but haven't been to in a while. It was a mix of nostalgia and disappointment. The food was simple, and while we're not big fans of this type of cuisine, we decided to play it safe with the chicken katsu. The dish didn't look very appealing when it arrived, and we even joked that it looked like it had been found in a toilet. However, despite its appearance, the food tasted good and we would consider ordering it again. Perhaps changing the shape of the rice would be a good idea. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, but we stuck with our safe choice of the katsu.
Amazing staff especially the young man Sam who asked me day and have me a run down of the menu. He also asked about my allergies and got the manager to take my order, which was very nice of him. He was so attentive and explained all the allergens and that wagamama is a nut-free kitchen. I felt so at ease knowing there was pretty much no chance of me having a reaction. Special thanks to Sam and the manager at this branch they were amazing.

Never been to any Wagamama before so thought would give it a go. Place was clean and tidy (including toilets) and the place had a nice vibe even on a Tuesday afternoon! Waiter explained that food would come out as it was ready not necessarily in order glad he explained this or I may have questioned it. Food was good husband hasn’t stopped talking about his ramen bowl!
On the way back from up north, we stopped over for lunch at Wagamama, hoping for the same taste and reliability. Seated quickly on arrival despite having no reservation, we were attended to very well. Food was cracking as ever. Situated in the busy and busting city centre, Wagamama Coventry lived up to expectations.
Michelle is amazing, very attentive and customer friendly, excellent service and experience. Recommended! Food was great and promptly made, fresh.
Wonderful food and service. They have a great vegan selection with some novel twists. Would highly recommend.
