MOD just opened in Burlington, Wa. and when I never heard of them and loved pizza, I thought I would try. Nice place with walls that open to the outside area. A little loud, but with as much as it was, that would be expected. Friendly, competent staff. It didn't take long to get through the line or call for my pizza. Only long enough to find a table, sit and enjoy a drink or two of my beer. Yes, they serve two on tap and a selection of bottles, along with soda. I had a mini (a 6 inch 'personal pan' when loaded with red sauce, peppers and mushrooms. All come on a thin crust and if I prefer a deep plate style crust, that was really good. The staff had no problem, more from each topping on (oh no...MORE than that please and all with a smile. Checkout surprised and impressed me. I just wanted to pay when the young man in the register asked me to wait a second when he was 'help' a young man who just ran up. Apparently the young man (with his date? had dropped/lost his money out of his pocket and after looking for him could not find it. The guy in the register (with a big smile told him not to worry about it. That he'd take care of it. No big deal. A fucking nice thing for him to do for her. I turned into the register and while he was chasing me, I asked if they did something for the military, and he fully expected that he would say no, as most places did not now days. A big smile and he definitely said. Every 'service' person... militar, police and firefighters... everyone in uniform serving the community gets a discount. Nice! A beer and just enough pizza at the end of a long working day... it won't be better. And it was a really good pizza. I will definitely go back and take me. Welcome to the Community MOD!
