The portion size of the chicken katsu is fantastic! I am extremely pleased. It is still crispy and not dry. The curry sauce is top-notch, better than what I have experienced at other restaurants, it's thick and delicious! I was surprised to see that they offer kimchi, so I decided to try it and I love the subtle spiciness and the tangy, fermented taste. The croquettes are tender and fluffy on the inside but have a nice crisp on the outside. They are definitely one of my favorite dishes! The fried rice is not dry, not greasy, and not overly salty like some places. This is my third time dining at Momiji and I am satisfied. I will definitely be coming back in the future.
Make sure to take advantage of their happy hour! We ordered the tempura and gyoza to go along with our main dishes. The place is small, but we didn't have to wait for a table. The service is outstanding, even though there's only one server for the whole restaurant. At no point did we feel neglected or like our food took too long to arrive. Would I return? Absolutely, without a doubt!
Wakame salad was refreshing, and the spicy black garlic ramen was pretty good. The heat level was just enough to warm the throat and was not overwhelming. Bonus points for the thick and tender kakuni slices. I would say the ramen in San Mateo is better, but this place holds its own, especially in an area where there aren't a lot of ramen places around.
Have vegetarian ramens (tested both soy milk base and fog base. I personally prefer soy milk base because it was somewhat creamier than the fog). Great food! I also tried the edamame and the potato croquette. Both taste good, but the amount of these two articles was less. Overall, I was happy to eat ramen from here. 8/10.

The place is small, so the waiting time for a seat is taking sometime. The spicy black garlic ramen and spicy deluxe ramen are good. It's quite pricey for 3 items I paid $50.00 before tips. When you check in from Yelp, you will get Thai tea for free.
very sub-par ramen...the noodles remind me too much of Chinese egg noodles instead of Ramen and the broth wasn't too flavorful. Not sure if this is because it is a to go order, but regardless, I probably will not order from here again.
I had the house ramen and substituted ramen with udon.SO TASTY! Tonkatsu broth is flavorful and rich, noodles were a perfect firmness.
This was our first time dining here, and it was excellent! We had a great experience and are definitely looking forward to returning.
