Went to dinner at Montanas, it wasn't busy. We ordered our drinks, apps, and main at one time. Asked for the apps to come before the main. We got the apps and 5 minutes later we received the main. Our steaks we ordered medium rare and they were well done. Waitress who was rude stated that that is how they do their medium rare steaks. Food was bland. Grilled chicken was dripping with oil. Ask for our child's dessert (a mini ice cream sandwich still wrapped). Waitress went by a few times and then came back with the bill and the machine. But still not dessert for our child. Eventually we got the dessert but we then had to wait even longer to come back with the machine to pay. The entire dinner...
My husband and I, who are from nearby Brockville, recently visited Kingston for our honeymoon. We had our last dinner out on June 2nd at this restaurant. We started with a unique appetizer, a Dorito bag nacho platter, where they serve an opened bag of Doritos on a plate with all the toppings on top. For our main courses, I ordered the all-you-can-eat fajitas, which came with a sizzling hot skillet of veggies and shrimp on the side, while my husband got a nacho salad. We also enjoyed drinks, a Caesar and a margarita. Everything was delicious, and our waitress Vicki was great too! I really liked the ranch-style decor and the servers' uniform of plaid shirts and blue jeans, it added to the down...
I had the lunch size Mac n Cheese with a Caesar salad , my wife had a Talapia and veggies.To start off with our server was great.Everything came to the table smoking hot and well presented, nothing worse than luke warm fish n veggies. After two days of restaurants either screwing up an order or serving what should be hot at barely warm Montanna's got it 100% right.My wife was very pleased with both the fish and veggies, said it was tasty and a good portion.The Mac n Cheese was heavenly , lots of bacon ( real bacon) and cheese, I scraped the bowl clean. The caesar was very good too.Overall a very good late lunch experience and Morgan( a great server)
Disclaimer: I've travelled in the southern US (Texas, Arkansas, North Carolina) where BBQ is fabulous--smoky, sassy, stand-on-the-plate and beg (or dare) to be enjoyed. BBQ that needs a beer to soothe your tongue! THIS IS NOT BBQ!! This was cooked brisket (bland as wet toilet paper) that supposedly was to be transformed into BBQ by squirting bottled sauce upon it. YUCK!! Should have stopped at McDonalds--the quality of meat would have been similar. The salad was good, as was the cornbread. But if you headliner is BBQ, at least make a plausible effort to cook BBQ!

Belle ambiance style country, du sport à la télé. Pas trop bruyant. Très bon service, personnel amical. Le steak est parfait : très tendre et cuit à la perfection. Les accompagnements sont savoureux, je recommande particulièrement de choisir les bines elles sont exquises. Nice ambience, country style with sports on TV. Not too noisy. Great service, friendly staff. The steak is just perfect: tender meat perfectly cooked. Side dish are tasty, I recommend choosing the beans, they are exquisite.
Good place to go. The portions are always large and the children's menu has lots of variety for young ones, plus the location is perfect as it is centrally located next to a mall and shopping areas and a bank. They also have plenty of parking in both the front and back. If you are visiting Kingston I highly recommend it.
Stopped in for dinner as recommended by our hotel staff. We wer not disappointed. I chose the apple pecan harvest salad. Lovely combination of ingredients and very fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Thank you Morgan. Nice atmosphere. Very pleasant!
This is my go to place for steak. I love their Steak dishes as well as their Steak Fajitas. Always good service. Usually pretty quick getting your meal to the table.
