"We visited Monteverdi for the first time, and it certainly won’t be our last. The service was outstanding, thanks to Emily, and the food was absolutely delightful, especially the tiramisu, which was fabulous. We had a chance to speak with the manager, Colin, who was very receptive to our feedback. We’re excited for the deck to open along the Charles River. I visited Monteverdi for a friend's birthday dinner with a group of six. The food was excellent, and our dishes were served promptly. The runner and busboy were attentive, but our server was noticeably absent. It took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive after ordering, and they came after our appetizers. The server never checked in on us for refills, so we had to ask the busboy to find her. This was about an hour after we were seated. Though she offered Parmesan for our pasta, it never arrived, and one of our desserts was missing as well. Amazing antipasti and flatbread! I highly recommend the Ricotta antipasti and the mushroom flatbread—both are incredibly tasty, freshly made, and feature delightful details that enhance the experience. The pesto gnocchi was just okay; it was a bit too salty and somewhat doughy, and I didn’t get much of the pesto flavor. However, everything was beautifully presented, and the portion sizes are quite generous, particularly for an Italian restaurant. I had a wonderful experience at Monteverdi and would recommend it to anyone seeking a lovely dinner spot by the river.
