Moonshine is a few blocks from my new house so i was dying to try it. The service was perfect. The staff was attentive and friendly. The drink menu was pretty extensive. The food was delicious. They ran out of the item my husband wanted so he went with the burger. He said it was one of the best he ever had. I had the blackened chicken over pesto gnocchi and it was delicious. The portion size was perfect. We took home a few things for our old son and he said the cheeseburger eggrolls were so good he could use a second order. Great casual dining at a great price point.
I went with my mom and her friend for Mother's Day and had a great experience. The bartender quickly made the sneaky shot I asked for, so my mom's sober friend wouldn't notice. I don't want to brag too much, but Janice said the ravioli was worthy of a Michelin Star. So, there's that, haha.
The service at this restaurant was excellent, however the food was just mediocre this time. Our usual favorite dishes didn't meet our expectations. The Parmesan wings and burger were just average, nothing remarkable. Even my drink was weak. The smoke from the kitchen was overwhelming.
As always, the food was excellent. Wide range of food and drinks. There is something for everyone and all diets can be accommodated.
