A unique and charming setting to enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly, attentive (not overly so) and courteous. Had the added benefit of being able to explore the museum and enjoy walking the paths around Mt. Vernon after our meal. I will definitely return and bring family and friends along to enjoy a beautiful setting.
Food was delicious- filet was tender and flavorful, roast chicken was moist and tender, and the hoe cakes and bread pudding were so good! Way better value and quality than the other options in Mt Vernon. It was a nice break to eat and then finish the day as there is reentry into the plantation.
2nd time dining here. Great both times! Excellent menu options food. Atmosphere wonderful…makes visit authentic. Staff always knowledgeable, helpful, efficient. We are from FL, our son in college LU. Worth the 3hr drive when we visit him. Beautiful walk tour after.
Great staff and environment; however, the food was substandard. Fried green tomatoes comes with just 3 slices of tomato that were soggy. Biscuit and gravy was a good portion, but there was t enough gravy. This restaurant is just not a place I’d want to go back. Réservez une table maintenant
Service was great, the ambiance fits in to the surroundings. The food was delicious and portions were huge. There are several options for vegetarians which was great for our party. Reasonably priced for the DC surrounding area.
Loved the food and price was good due to restaurant week menu. The Halibut was outstanding. I find noise from others to be a distraction. I would still Recommend the restaurant…
What a great part of our Mt Vernon experience. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict and the hot cakes. A perfect meal! Service was excellent and the prices were great!

"I love El Paso! One of my favorite restaurants! The food is always hot when brought out, delicious and a lot of food that's not expensive. This was my first time getting a kids dish but it was enough food for a 3 year old."
