Joined two friends for an impromptu lunch on a Sunday afternoon. the restaurant is small and had about five occupied tables. It is not on Gympie Terrace , so it was quiet and there was plenty of on street parking. We sat outside at a nice table which were well spaced so we had privacy. With only one waitress serving the whole restaurant we did have to wait quite a while for drinks, a menu and to order. As we had plenty of time we weren't fussed, however if you were hoping for a quick turnaround, this would have been frustrating. the food was very good. The smoked salmon salad was fresh and crisp, one of our guests enjoyed the calamari and another enjoyed the chicken wings. The wine list was...
had dinner there. Had read reviews and decided to try. Liked the fact that we could bring our own wine. Corkage $7 which is acceptable if you are bringing a good wine.My wife had the eye fillet. It was expensive at $45 but the quality supported the price.I had the seafood linguine. sadly the subtle seafood taste was overwhelmed by far too much chilli in the source. Why would you do that to seafood?The service was friendly and the restaurant has a pleasant ambience. In this very competitive restaurant area I thought I could find better cooking for about the same outlay.
As a local I have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner with both family and friends and have always left being most satisfied with all aspects of my dining experience; whether it has been the staffs ability to cater for my grand daughters special breakfast order or a special dinner with friends celebrating birthday. First class wining and dining with excellent service...... What's not to like. AAA rating
We made a reservation as we walked past during the day. When we got there that evening the place was quite full. The service was prompt and our meals were very nicely presented. We enjoyed our main of beef filo with vegetables and the barramundi boat also came with nicely cooked vegetables.All and all, a delicious meal in a lovely surrounding.Highly recommended !
