there are few possibilities to eat between flagstaff and the petrified national forest. their selection is limited to some local restaurants or small chains in winslow or holbrook. After a long day exploring the beautiful petrified national forest, we were ready to eat something. we stumbled over a local Mexican restaurant in holbrook called mr. maestas. Luckily it turned out that this is a delicious, filling and affordable choice before long journey back to flagstaff.
when we asked if they had something that was vegan friendly, the waiter said that we could drill and cheese burritos or cheese enchiladas. we explained that we couldn't eat a diary and said they had nothing to do with our needs. win them 2 stars because the decor was great and the staff was super friendly, simply not know about a vegan diet. I'm sure it's a fantastic restaurant for omnivores. probably not listed on happycow. net like vegan friendly.

Liked the food, staff was friendly and good service. Decor was dated, but a family business that has been around a long time.
We walked in one night party of 4 at 8:30 pm and they said they close at 9pm and sent us on our way. We will not return.
