Mt Royal Inn - Réservation de table

I gave this place a good 3 tries and gave up. Every single time we were ignored and we had to go out of our way to flag down a waitress for service. I don?t know if they genuinely don?t like younger (mid 20?s) people at their establishment or if all three times were coincidentally bad. The food was average to me. It definitely wasn?t good enough to feel disrespected and still go back. Kind of a shame because they have somewhat good reviews but won?t waste my money again.

I often drive by this bar and notice it's always packed, so we decided to drop in for drinks and a meal. The drinks were excellent, particularly their specialty cocktails. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. As for the food, it was outstanding. The fried chicken salad bites were among the best appetizers I've ever tasted—definitely a must-try! I highly recommend visiting this place if you're looking for a local bar with great drinks and even better food.

We eat here pretty regularly. We know what to expect and there's plenty here to eat that's very good, but there's a few things on the menu just for people who are too drunk to care. Much of the fried foods tend to be overdone, but the wings, quesadillas, the cheese steaks and pork wings are all regularly delicious.

We?ve tried a couple times. Can?t get my GF to go back. Food is inconsistent and overrated. Bar tenders ignore non-regulars. What is it with the plastic cups? Who wants a shot, wine or cocktail in a plastic cup!?! For real! This isn?t a college party or picnic! Réservez une table maintenant

I am not a bar person but it was great setup. Went there with office colleagues. They have outdoor area under trees as well as outdoor roofed area. I liked that. Parking is limited and I think is plenty if you get in early on Friday.

The wings definitely live up to their reputation. We ordered the MRI sauce and Buffalo flavor, both of which were excellent. The wings were cooked to perfection, with the skin remaining crispy even while drenched in sauce.

I went to the restaurant for its history and to spend quality time with my son, especially since 1762 feels like ages ago. However, apart from the building itself, there wasn't much else that hinted at its rich past.

What did you just say? The music at Mt. Royal is so loud that it almost pushes you back out the door. The sound is overwhelming, and I haven't even started to get into it... Réservez une table maintenant

There are better bars nearby. Consider going to South Wood, where the food and atmosphere are far superior.

Good experience and bar. Indoor and outdoor seating. A long standing local staple of the area.
