I ordered the fettuccine with white clam sauce, while my daughter chose the pasta pesce. Both dishes had tasty sauces; my daughter's included shrimp and a generously sized scallop, while mine was loaded with clams. They added red pepper flakes to both sauces for an extra kick, though my daughter found it a bit too spicy. One downside was that the pasta dishes didn't come with any sides; bread and salads were rather pricey add-ons. My daughter opted for a small salad at $9, and we decided to skip the bread. This place is an experience. We knew we were some place special from the moment we walked in. We were lucky to have Charles as our waiter. He was attentive, entertaining, and a true part of the history of Mungo's. Some of the best toasted ravioli we have ever had. The house salad is unique and very delicious. We would definitely recommend the lasagna, tortellini, or three-way pasta, all were exceptional. Everyone needed a box for leftovers and while we didn't think we had room for dessert, it was my wife's birthday and they provided complimentary cheesecake, which we all shared, and it was fantastic!. I hadn’t been here in 15 years, but I dined here again on Sunday, September 24. The service was outstanding! Harrison was our server, and he was truly delightful—very knowledgeable and attentive. He was a polite young man, and I highly recommend him. The food was good, and there was a decent wine list. Overall, it was a fun dinner, and we will definitely return again. In my opinion, it's just ok. For the price, I expected more flavor. The spaghetti taste like tomato paste to me. My daughter had the shrimp appetizer. It was small shrimp with soggy bread crumbs. It had a weird texture and was just gross. They were packed by the time we left, so maybe we just need to choose better entrees. I've wanted to try them for a long time. Always fantastic! There's no need to drive to The Hill when Collinsville can provide such an exceptional meal. Everything Italian here is top-notch. The wine selection is excellent, and the service is outstanding. Plus, their homemade desserts are amazing—like the cheesecake with a delightful graham cracker crust that reminds me of my mom's recipe.
