Murphy's is a multi-level pub that boasts stunning rooftop views and live music, making it a fantastic spot to catch up with friends. I recently visited for drinks and food, and I was impressed by the excellent service. We were seated on the middle floor, which felt almost like being on a rooftop thanks to its large windows that shielded us from the weather while offering lovely views of Geelong. We took advantage of the happy hour drinks, and the food was both delicious and served promptly. The ambiance of the space was wonderful; however, I did have one minor complaint. We hosted a post-wedding lunch at Murphy's the day after our wedding, and we couldn't be more pleased with the service we received. The entire process, from our initial inquiry to our arrival on the day, was seamless. We appreciated that it was no hassle for each guest to order from the main menu at their convenience. The rooftop bar offered a fantastic view, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We'll definitely return in the future and would absolutely consider hosting another event here.
We hosted a 50th birthday party for over 20 people, including a toddler, at the rooftop bar, and we had an incredible time. The views were stunning, and the staff were extremely helpful, professional, respectful, and accommodating, which enhanced our experience significantly. They greeted all of our requests with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would wholeheartedly recommend Murphy's to anyone. Great job, everyone—you should be very proud of your work. We will definitely be back!
I organized dinner in the rooftop bar with nine friends. Easy to book and amend bookings online plus a phone call to me to confirm the day before. Great location beautiful views, friendly and helpful staff. Easy ordering and payment from an app at the table. My only complaint was the music very loud and not a conducive style of music to socialising and the bar was crowded so very hard to chat with each other. . Otherwise great night. Hosted an engagement party here for 25+ attendees, and everything was fantastic. All our food choices were amazing, everyone loved everything. Staff were very accommodating and took great care of us, including helping with seating for our elderly guests. Nicole was incredible, so helpful with all organisation prior to the event and set the space up for us beautifully. Thankyou all so much for a wonderful evening!
The pub is charming and historic, featuring a lovely selection of beers on tap. The food was tasty, though on the pricier side. Unfortunately, there was a large canvas displayed on the big screen TV, which my wife found unappealing. If it weren't for that, we might have enjoyed our time there for longer.
