Great food, the sauces were all distinct and delicious. One of the few places that offers the sweet Kashmiri Naan, which is great. The Mango Lassi has some great spice in it like cardamom, which is different than Ive had. Dishes dont come with rice, but the naan is fluffy enough to be a good substitute. The only thing Id change would be an ability to adjust the spice level, everything came as what I would describe as low to mild spiciness, but the flavors are so good that I dont miss the heat.
The restaurant offers a diverse array of menu options ranging from unique selections to classic dishes that are prepared almost as good as homemade. I highly recommend trying the chili momos, which are small and delicious dumplings, as well as the samosas which are large and expertly made. The Tikka masala was incredible and I enjoyed it so much that I ordered it on two separate occasions.
We ordered Lamb Karahi and Chicken Tikka masala. Both were excellent. Naan was also excellent and above average. But rice was slightly undercooked and was short grain rice not long grain basmati one would expect. Yellow dal was underwhelming and lacked flavor. Overall was a good experience.
Today's experience at the restaurant was really disappointing. The Samosa had raw, uncooked dough, the Dal Makhani was watery and lacked flavor, and the chicken in the Chicken Tikka Masala was dry, overcooked, and served in very small portions. Party of 4 for mid-week lunch on quiet large patio Food service very good. Chicken biryani was large took some home for dinner) chicken was tender. 2 persons had the veggie tandoori appetizer of mushrooms asparagus. Garlic Naan ordered-delicious as was the mango drink
The menu does not indicate which dishes are spicy. I personally found the vegetable curry to be too spicy and lacking in flavor. However, I enjoyed the naan and lassi.
Excellent preparation of usual northern Indian and Nepali dishes. Attentive service and good ambience indoors and out.
Make sure you have salt and hot sauce at home, this has to be the most flavorless Indian food I have ever had. Réservez une table maintenant
