We have not been to a Nepalese restaurant for a long time and when we read about this small restaurant located at Crown Street in Surry HIlls near our holiday apartment, we decided to drop in for dinner.There were only two other tables occupied when we walked in but the staff were welcoming. Picked this restaurant randomly walking in Surry with a party of 7 on a Monday night, we all had the set menu and BYO wines and beers. I don't have any knowledge about Nepalese food but every dish was spot on! Goat curry was delicious!Very happy about the value, set menu was really satisfying!There is probably not much attention put on the venue itself and atmosphere, and there was just a waitress on the floor who did a good job, for being by herself.Very recommended for a dinner on a budget!
We were visiting our daughter who lives in Surrey Hills and went to this restaurant as we like Nepalese curries. The food was excellent but the service was a little strange. Our waitress did not speak much English hence it was tricky to discuss the menu. Also one of our party left to go and buy some wine as we did not realise they did not supply wine and she brought our food at that time. Strange. However when we were all back the food arrived again and we couldn't fault it..
Not worth the bother. Go over to the many Indian/Pakistani/Nepalese places along Crown St where you can get the same thing, more quickly for about $10. When I was there, there was a customer/staff member who refused to stop smoking right outside the front door. When I told him that it was not allowed, he told me to f":" off! A friend of the owners apparently...classy joint this one.

I have been to Nepal and don't remember it for great food in Kathmandu the best thing was the Pie shops - rice and Dahl luckily they have more selection in Crown St - I enjoyed the veg curry
All the dishes were outstanding. The experience was marred by a huge group of rude people, but the staff was nice and moved us to a quieter area when it became available.
Excellent Nepalese meal here. Terrific entrees of spicy chicken ???? liver followed by goat ???? curry ????. Nice surroundings too and excellent service.
Delicious food- lighter than Indian but still packed with flavourRecommend the eggplant and onion curry and also the Nepalese salad as a light side.

When I was a kid, my family's apartment was a few doors down from a Nepalese family.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant lovely.
