I would recommend this place to everyone for every reason you can think of. Wanted somewhere to celebrate with the family our dad's 65th birthday as he hadnt planned anything i called the tardebigge at last minute on the Wednesday hoping they could fit us in, as there was 12 of us in total I wasn't holding out much hope, to our luck they fitted us in, they sent us a pre order form and menu so we were able to choose prior to arriving to make the meal run smoother. This morning, i received a phone call from them to say they had decided to upgrade us to the private room so that we could have the oval table and all enjoy the afternoon in private. Morning after a spontaneous decision to have dinner with my wife and two kids yesterday evening at your restaurant I’m still absolutely disappointed with the terrible service received. Took over 20 minutes for our drinks to come water Guinness Pepsi and a wine. Shocking. It took another 50 minutes for our food to come And when it did eventually arrive after asking twice mine was cold! I have two kids one of which is 2 so I’m used to heating my dinner up in the microwave at home not acceptable in a restaurant. We stopped here during a narrow boat holiday and we were very glad that we did. The building is absolutely amazing inside and out and the food is pretty good. The staff were pleasant and attentive and the beer was good. The menu is a little limited with only a small number of vegetarian options but we all found something to eat and there were no complaints about any of the dishes. We went on a Sunday evening when it was very quiet but even with just a few people in it, this is a special building and very enjoyable to sit in with a pint.
5 I have been using the Tardebigge since the day after it opened in 2019 The food and drink has always been first class and in particular family parties in the Private Dinning room or Library room have never disappointed. A warm welcome is always guaranteed from the staff management . On the rare occasion a mistake is made it is immediately corrected with a sincere apology. From me it a big recommendation with out the slightest doubt Réservez une table maintenant
Excellent service the other day from our server Jude. Very polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and he was very attentive (especially as I have a gluten allergy). Everything was explained well by him, regarding my choices, and I was made to feel very welcome. Food delicious and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
