For years this place had consistent food and staff. Then they didn't. Partially probably from the pandemic, or maybe the pay is terrible. Either way, the staff they can find is sub par. The younger people they get are extremely rude and clearly hate their jobs. The rest cannot seem to get orders right. I come here out of loyalty. I know how it used to be, but now? If it continues this way, I'd be surprised if they had any customers left.
The best bagels in Chicago!! High quality ingredients. Option to choose salad or meat, and different types of sandwiches. We recommend challah and the bagel with poppy seeds. They have ice tea and 0 cal Dr. Browns in different flavors! This is a small place only with take out/delivery options. Staff are super friendly and provide top customer service. We’re very happy to have found this place and will definitely be back!
I have to agree with reviewer James Cho that this was not a bagel at all. It was just some kind of dense bread. definitely not what I was expecting from a bagel in Chicago, even though it said New York and online they said that New York bagels are not different from Chicago. Bagels are supposed to be boiled and then baked. it's supposed to be soft in the middle and chewing on the outside and shiny.
Disappointing. I just moved to the area and had high expectations based on reviews. Purchased a dozen to go and toasted one when I got home. The everything was bland and tasted like a day old bagel. This restaurant was terrible. They overcharged me more than $35 for 2 bagels, which were also terrible. A friend recommended this place to me, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I really wish I could get a refund. I can make better bagels at home and I have no intention of ever going back.
It may have been an off day, but the bagels at this restaurant were terrible. They tasted bland and didn't seem to be fresh. The service was for take-out meals and the meal type was breakfast. The price per person ranged from $10 to $20.
The place is gross. Purchased a cake from out of the display case and ended with an infestation of fruit flies.
The best tuna, egg salad sandwich, and brisket sandwich also got me coming to this place often Réservez une table maintenant
It's all about the to-go brunch food. Love their pizza bagels for a quick snack, too!
