This cozy little spot is absolutely fantastic! While the selection is limited, the quality of the meats, wines, and frozen items is top-notch. We've visited a couple of times for NY strips and filets, and we were very impressed with the prime cuts we received. They also offer large frozen items suitable for bigger groups. Be sure to try the frozen sausage links and cheddar biscuits for breakfast — we had them twice and wish we had ordered more! Skip the Harris Teeter across the street for your steaks and wine; it's better to grab them here and pick up your sides at the grocery store.
I have been here several times and picked up steaks. I always order the prime cuts. After the first time I thought maybe they made a mistake and somehow I had gotten another cut. The meat was full of gristle and not very tender. No way it was prime. No. Way. So went back two more times trying to see if it was any better. Nope. I can't eat their steaks anymore. It goes not feel they are being honest about their meats. I'm going to Costco for my prime meats. They are truly prime and way cheaper too! You can't go wrong with Costco over this place. Hate this is what it was but oh well.
Need farm fresh eggs? A bottle of wine? How about freshly ground and seasoned hamburger patties? Jalapeño bacon? A brownie the size of your toddler? Boutique ice cream sandwiches in mysterious black packaging created by local ice cream legend Cirsea? Or how about a few ready-to-bake meals featuring homemade pasta, veal meatballs, eggplant parm, and lobster Mac Cheese? Well, good news! You can get any or all of these things at the New York Butcher Shoppe. And everyone working here is so lovely and helpful. Forget Harris Teeter, this is the cool kids grocery spot.
Do you need a last minute meal for 5-40 people? This is definitely the place to go. General ready meals for groups, premium meat for the grill (especially the Bacon burgers they have on weekends), and really great customer service. Our family dinner planning was easy when we visited the island.

New York Butcher Shoppe on Palm Boulevard on Isle of Palms is a great place for all things to go meat and much more. I like their selection and quality they have available here. I was happy with all the purchases I made from here.
The meat here is exceptional, and the finished dishes and sides are superb, complemented by a fantastic selection of wines. Be sure to place your Christmas orders early. And don't overlook the gourmet dog treats!
